Job Description

I am currently working on behalf of an excellent Healthcare organisation that is seeking to appoint a Children’s Clinical Psychologist to join their existing staff team for specialist services in a school environment in Holywell.

 

The services within the region primarily supports children living with a learning disability or Autism in specialist residential services.

 

The Children’s Clinical Psychologist will be embedded within the service and will work collaboratively with all the team to promote the quality of life, wellbeing and best interests of the Service users. You will undertake all aspects of Clinical Psychology duties including assessment, formulation & intervention and consultation.

 

The key skills and experience required include:

 

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, accredited by the BPS
  • Experience of working as a qualified Clinical Psychologist, normally within services for people with Mental Health Disorders
  • Developed knowledge of the Lifespan developmental psychology, models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology
  • Knowledge of legislation and its implication for both clinical practice and professional management in relation to the client group and mental health
  • Strong interpersonal qualities of teamwork and communication are essential as is evidence of a commitment to training and professional development.
